Yes, it’s true, Side-tracked Home Executive (SHE) is EXACTLY right!
The other day I told Hubby I was going to have a shower… went into the bathroom to get a hair tie (with the intention of then going to our room to get clothes before hopping in the shower)… I got in the shower about an hour later! I got distracted by the state of the bathroom and started cleaning it, next thing I knew I was washing down the cupboard doors and the walls that had been bugging me for quite some time. How did that happen? At the bathroom cupboard I thought about the child lock I wanted to use it on the bathroom draw to keep little hand away from potential dangers stored in the draw… to put the lock on, the surfaces need to be clean and dry – and so the side-tracking goes on and on! I had been putting off cleaning the bathroom for a while, so it wasn’t a waste of time, or ‘unplanned’ seeing as I don’t really ‘plan’ any cleaning! It’s just one of those chores that is such a drag isn’t it?! But does it have to be this way?

I tried the Flylady system a few years back, and became overwhelmed, and then I was addicted to the SHE system, my cards are all in the box, and I havent done much with them, however, and in this age of technology, I’ve even tried various ways of incorporating technology with the system, and have not perfected it all yet.Plus there is not much up to date info on the SHE system. Good luck to you, I know alot of people are Happy with flylady’s system.
Thanks Mary! I believe it’s a matter of just taking it one thing at a time and being consistent with that one thing until it’s become a habit!
I’m not pushing myself to become a fully fledged flybaby overnight – that’s for sure!
