Parenting is the hardest job you’ll ever have… There is no use pretending otherwise! But it is also the most rewarding!!! There are those melt your heart moments that you will treasure forever… and then there are those hilarious moments that you want to post on Facebook so your friends can share in the hilarity only kids can provide!
Here are some of the hilarious moment we’ve experienced thus far:
1. We have our son in a basinet attached to my side of the bed. One afternoon our newborn was sleeping soundly while hubby and I were sitting on the end of the bed having a D&M conversation… then our son let one rip! Who knew such a large noise could be generated by such a little bottom!!! Needless to say hubby & I were rolling around laughing for quite some time after that!
2. Hubby was changing our son’s nappy one morning before work. I was lying in bed in the next room where I could hear everything that went on. Hubby was telling our son that now wasn’t the time to be doing his business as hubby didn’t have all morning… There were a series of farting noises during which hubby told our son that he couldn’t wait all day… This was followed by silence & hubby obviously commenced the nappy change. There was then one almighty noise from that little bottom… followed by hubby’s “Bugger!!!”. I was in stitches!!! So much so that I took a few minutes to compose myself sufficiently to respond to hubby’s request for assistance! Needless to say… Change table (multiple levels) carpet & hubby were wearing a lovely mustard colored hue! Luckily this was before hubby’s shower!
3. The pose my little man will only be able to get away with for so long! We were sitting in front of the TV after I had fed and settled my son one night when my husband walked in and cracked up! He had to get the camera – capturing my son sitting on my lap with one hand in my jacket – definitely a gem to get that 21st vault started!
