This is a post I just had to write… no matter where you sit in the debate over teacher’s wages, please read this… it REALLY puts the argument into perspective! And then remember that these people our society seems to place such little value upon are the people nurturing the growth of knowledge in tomorrow’s leaders!!! Perhaps if we paid teachers better, we could ensure a higher calibre of teacher for our children… if we could ensure a higher calibre of teachers, that would ensure a higher calibre of education for our children!!! And if our children received a superior education… the possibilities could be endless!!!

Steve Jobs’ death at age 56 is so tragic. As a long term member of the Apple tribe, I am sad to see Jobs’ death at a relatively young age. His achievements and willingness to think differently deserve praise and reflection. Despite the fairly lousy weather, I can highly recommend it! The food was fantastic & of course one of the highlights of my dining experience was the ordering process! I’ve always loved gadgets, and their menus were the best I’ve come across yet! We ordered on an iPad, flicking through the menu – with information options for more details & pictures of each dish & the ability to add the items you wanted to your order (and then review that your order was correct before it was placed)! So of course, I got the fun ordering experience and Granny played with Cheeky Monkey – everyone was happy! :-)

Well, actually ‘When your morning goes to poo’ is technically a more accurate description!

I’m never the best with getting out the door exactly on time (or even within ‘enough’ time… whatever that means!). It stems from the struggle I have to get out of bed in the morning (yes, even with Cheeky Monkey’s presence I still struggle to get out of bed – it’s amazing the entertainment your hand can provide!!!). And these days the struggle to get out of bed is genuinely due to not getting enough sleep… rather than the laziness which may have been contributing to the problem when I was younger!

Anyway… point being that getting out the door can be challenging. Continue Reading…
